Slip
and Fall
"Slip and fall" injuries can be truly devastating to the well-being and
earning potential of the injured person. These types of falls are very
common, but surprising nonetheless to the victim. One moment you were
walking down a flight of stairs or crossing a room, and the next you
were on the floor with a cut, a broken bone, or worse. Our firm will
help you determine if you can sue the owner of the property for the harm
you have suffered.
If you were injured in an accident at someone else's home or place of
business, and you believe their actions led to your injury, you may be
able to file a lawsuit that will help you recover lost earnings, and
will compensate you for medical bills, pain, emotional suffering,
disfigurement, or physical disabilities resulting from the injury.
As a plaintiff in a "slip and fall" case, you will have to show that the
owner of the property where the accident occurred was liable for the
injury. This means the owner either created the hazardous condition that
caused your injury, failed to properly maintain the premises, or knew
about the dangerous condition but failed to warn visitors or tenants.
Another important factor is whether the hazardous condition was
temporary or permanent. For instance, if the hazard which led to your
injury was a temporary condition, the length of time it existed may
affect your ability to successfully prove your case.
If your slip and fall injury occurred in Pennsylvania, and you believe
it was caused by the property owner's negligence, we would like to hear
from you. Call us at (412) 281-8539 or contact us online for a
