Spinal Cord Injuries
Spinal cord injuries (SCI) can result from car accidents,
electrocutions, diving accidents, gun shots, and employment-related
accidents. These injuries occur when a foreign object lacerates,
bruises or compresses the spinal cord or damages the cells that transmit
information along the spinal column.
SCI can result in devastating harm to the body, including paralysis
(inability to control movement and muscles), and lost sensation or
reflexes below the injury point (including breathing and other autonomic
functions like control of the bladder and bowels). Over time,
individuals with SCI may also experience muscle spasms, sexual
dysfunction, oversensitivity to stimuli, and pain. Last but not least,
SCI patients may develop additional serious problems like bed sores (due
to lack of movement), and lung or bladder infections.
These injuries can result in lifelong pain, disability, loss of
independence, and emotional hardship. We know your first priority will
be to resolve immediate concerns like avoiding further financial
problems because of lost wages, paying your current medical bills, and
making sure the insurance company pays for future treatments. We want to
help you deal with the problems your injury has caused. First, we will
make sure you understand your legal options. Second, we will work with
all the parties in your case to resolve all your legal issues quickly
and to your satisfaction.
If you live in Pennsylvania and have suffered a spinal injury, we would
like to discuss your legal options with you. Contact us through our
